Here's a project a completed a couple of years back but unfortunately had to sell a few months after due to unforeseen circumstances... I miss my P10
Here the eGT above on the floor and the LX on the ramp, I managed to obtain this eGT a few months before for free because of a massive MOT failure I think mostly due to rust, I knew the bloke who owned it and I had been eyeing it up for a full year. The LX was my own car I had been working on over a couple of years, I had completely restored the underside and working on the body so it was ideal for the task, I was forced into action sooner due to unfortunate rally incident where crossing a brook through some of Devons many country lanes, I had approached at such a speed where normally I would aim for the other side and just aquaplane across no dramas, not on that day, there had been a lot of rainfall and had made the brook a little more lively so my nose just went straight under, I had enough momentum to get me through but "not without incident!" (Bale in Equilibrium, Love it!) now after i had escaped the Brook I pulled up for an assessment at the local pub and found after a bit of gargling out the back box the car was fine, it was only a few moths later when the engine died on me on the way back from a Megadeath concert in Cardiff The standard SR20 engine to the right had suffered a back pressure blow out dew to blocked exhaust, what had was over time the insides of my cheopo custom exhaust had rotted out and blocked the tail pipe with sound insulator causing the exhaust pressure to burst out the cam cover... oh the Joy! but still hello eGT lump! Out with the Old.... ...In with Fool! Kept original gearbox because it was a lot smoother, a quick re-stud of the original cat. also removed from the eGT the aircon compressor and mounting plate and swapped the oil pressure switch for original (its the only thing that differs on the wiring harness) Nice and snug!!! After the operation a smooth Civic Killer! she shall be sorely missed!
