Was about to suggest the same. What is the original spec of the car ?
Sounds like someone trying to add sat nav to non sat nav car.
Secure on yellow has to do with something not recognising the key but if the car is running it can't be immobiliser.
A real bag of worms.
If in doubt give it a clout!

I am in agreement with you but there is no way i could know that as at the time i bought on ebay with the seller describing that the Sat Nav only need software update. It had the CD and the DVD rom.

Its a 53 plate 2.2 dCi Diesel Hatchback 6 speed.

All that notwithstanding, do you all thing its a project worth completing, if yes where can i buy the missing cables/leads

Ask the seller what happened
Scrap yards next bet
I would not hold to much hope of getting it running, is the sat nav black box receiver fitted? is the screen compatible with the system? is the radio that is fitted compatible with sat nav? it normally has some extra circuitry.

Getting it back to it's original state is what you should concentrate on and unfortunately will be a feat in itself.
To the best of my knowledge all sat nav displays were 7", ie the display filled the whole screen, there is no 1" black border.
Another check would be to look at the part no. on the screen then look up the Nissan4u catalogue.
If in doubt give it a clout!

Model: CC5W-4000P (EU)
Part Name: Display Assy-AV

Hm, that nissan part number is listed on nissan4u.com both on the sat nav version and on the non sat nav version, when we know for sure that only the 7" display works with the sat nav system.
When it is on, is the whole screen filled by the image or does it have a thick black border, as Electrolyte said?

I'm afraid that screen is for non sat nav and will not work.
Best to try and get back to original setup.

Hi Guys,

Just had the gearbox changed on a 2002 Primera 12 and now have the dreaded 'Secure' message on screen (Orange on black background) I had an aftermarket stereo fitted last year so don't use the standard one anyhow but it's frustrating not being able to see or set the usual on screen data such as time, temperature etc.

Can anyone help?

I've looked for the stereo code but can't see it in any of the paperwork i got with the car but i did hear that you're able to retrieve it online with the right information. Don't know that's true or not.

Even with the4 digit pin, i don't know if there is a specific procedure to enter it?

I tried disconnecting the battery for 90 minutes to see if it would reset the system but no joy.

Help....
