    Posted: 12 Mar 2013 at 7:08pm
Hi I wonder if any of you experts can help I have had a Nissan Primera P12 2003 Petrol the last owner says he left the ignition switched on for 12 hours as someone said it would reset his radio code! and of course it had gone flat , since then it has not started.
Had the scanner on it and has 2 codes P1610 Immo Locked and P1612 Immo/Dongle fault. The P1612 clears but does come back after a few failied starts. I have got the label off the bcm and got the imoo pin code I understand the immo code is 7787 for this. But it keeps saying inncorect code and will not let me log in to learn the key again.

Have read the transponder in the key and all info is showing
ID: 6D5A5C10
MODE: Locked
Chip: PCF7936
Type : 46 Crypt Philips

So far have tried disconnecting the battery to reset but no joy have checked the wires to the ignition transponder pick up(4 wire plug) and they all check out down to the BCM with no breaks. Also have closed the terminal up a bit on the ignition transponder pick up plug(4 wire) as I know these have issues.
What should the voltage be at the transponder pick up plug as it is around .2 v
If the BCM was at fault then surely the remote locking would not work?
How can I test the BCM or ignition pickup reader? does anyone know what wires power/Ground  the BCM - Ignition reader as don't have any wiring diagrams for this car.
With ignition on the nats light just flashes doesn't matter if the ignition transponder pick up is connected or not. and the display screen just say secure.
I understand the radio will not work if it does not get the correct reading from the key is this correct? or could someone of fitted a radio from a different car and this could be causing the problem?

any help or advice ?

Sounds like a trip to nissan to sort out your key issue, not sure if the radio issue is related or has been changed, if the latter what else has been changed?
Both issues should be sorted by Nissan and take all the keys

You Can download the service manual from " How to " section.

Edit: look to the Smart Entrance unit ,it contains the immobiliser
If in doubt give it a clout!

Also as I side note the smart entry system also operates the radio so check no 10 fuse if blown replace. if Blows AGAIN trace wiring and consolt P 12 FSM.
