Hi guys,
I am putting an aftermarket head unit into my 2006 p12 nissan primera. To hold onto the steering wheel contols I purchased an adaptor from connects 2. When tge adaptor arrives it was for a vehicle with 8 and 16 pin head unit block connectors. The adaptor lists that it covers a p12 2006 model but my factory head unit has 12 and a 24 pin blocks. My plan is to use there adaptor and make it work with my wiring. I have the wiring diagrams for my car and know what all wires do but I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get the wiring diag for the primera with the 8/16 pin blocks. If I can find that diag it will allow me to compair mine to that one and figure out how to use the adaptor correctly. Thanks in advance guys |

You don't state your primera spec, have you got sat nav fitted?
Is the existing unit the 6 cd multi-changer?

Hi timeshock,
My car is a 2006 1.6l petrol, I do not have sat nav or a cd changer. I actually have the wiring diagram for my model. I am just drying to find drawings for a model of primera that uses 8/16 pin blocks in the back of the head unit so I can trace through that wiring and match it to my own. |

Good luck, some members have done this, the 1.6 is associated specs are a little different. Be aware that the electrical system is a canbus operation and carries electrical digital signals to the ECU and very strange things an occur, also you may lose functionality of some of the buttons on the console may no longer work
