I'm currently 2500km from home, in an area where most people barely can understand a 'helo' in English.
I've had a noise for about 3000km that sounded a lot like worn wheel hub, but I couldn't feel any play to the wheel. It starts to sound at about 50km/h, reaches it's max at about 80-90km/h, and goes away when speed reaches 130km/h.
Today I finally figured a plausible source of this sound: Play in the right drive shaft center support bearing. Well, I know there is a lot of play in this bearing, but I'm not sure if that actually is the source for the sound. I also realized that the part of the drive shafts (on both sides), between the inner and outer u-joints, can be moved around (in/out, up/down and forward/back) quite a bit by hand. How much play is normal to this?
I'm basically trying to figure if it will be sufficient to replace the center bearing, or if I need to replace both drive shafts as well.
How urgent will this reparation be? Will it hold the 2500km home?
Next question, what are the part numbers for the parts I need? 39204AW325, 39776AW300, 39211AW325 (x2) and 39205AW325 seems right on these drawings http://nissan4u.com/parts/primera/el_p12e/2004_9/type_106/power_train/front_drive_shaft_ff_and_front_drive_shaft_repair_kit_ff/
But when looking up those numbers on ebay or in my parts store at home, I get no relevant hits. Are the parts numbers wrong?
