HI Folks,

I am currently/still having issues with my drivers seat airbag, it still has an intermittent earth fault
so I thought I would track down the earth point it goes to and just clean it up and see if that makes a difference.

I poured through the electronic book we have on the P12 and found that I am looking for point B18,
now there is an image with that information but there is no reference as to where that image is taken from, so if anyone has a better manual for the P12 (oh if only Nissan allowed Haynes to do them) or if anyone actually knows where this point is located I would be oh so very grateful as she is off for her MOT in 7 days ( and we all know the fault will show up the very second the tester gets in the seat and turns the car on) this is the ONLY fault I can find on her so any help would be a god send.

Many, many thanks for anything you post.

Paul K.

Have you unplugged and replugged the Connection under the Seat?
This usually sorts the Seat Airbag Light.

Are you sure it is the Seat Airbag?
2nd most common is the the Passenger Airbag - Connection sometimes disturbed when changing the Pollen Filter.

Hi imckay, yes I am certain its the drivers side seat airbag, I had an auto electrician run his diagnostic machine over the car and it came up as an earth fault drivers seat airbag.

I have tried to un-plug and plug the connector under the seat but cant get 2 hands on it to open it in
the first place I did manage to squeeze it together hard and we took the car out for a run today and so
far the fault has not popped up again, so far lol.

I will keep an eye on the problem and hope it holds out long enough to get through the MOT and then I will have a look at it with time to try many many fixes as I contacted my local main dealer today and
they want £102 just to put it on the diagnostic machine and then they will charge me £82 per hour plus vat if any work needs doing (plus any parts as well) so it could easily run up a bill around £300 which is too much money for me atm.

Many thanks,

Paul K.

It is not always the connector, just moving the wire around a little does the trickThumbs Up
