Hello from Italy,
you are doing a great job with this forum!
Here's my Primera. I've bought it in february 2017 with 67.000km, now it has 95.000km.
Years ago I worked as a kind of m.o.t. tester, although here in Italy those tests are ridiculous, and at that time I convinced myself about the quality and reliability of japanese cars.
Tired of goin' around every day with my noisy Autobianchi A112 (that I still have), I decided to buy an old jap... and destiny made me found this interesting blue car whose owner was getting too old to drive.
These are the specs:
1997
1.6 petrol
A/C
power windows, power steering, centralized door lock
wooden style dashboard
no ABS, rear drums
no passenger airbag
no remote door lock
standard iron 14" wheels but I've upgraded with the original Nissan diamond-cut 15" alloys.
Hello to all! :)

Welcome, I had a 1.6 P11 as my first Primera back in 2003 and loved it. Yours is a great colour.

Love the A112, also had never heard of those and they look real funky!!

Welcome to the forums!

I have a A112 Abarth engine in my Fiat 600, the top of the range A2000, 1050cc. It is the only way nowadays to purchase a real Abarth engine for the old 600.

Very rare cars over here, I only remember one in my town, a blue A112 Junior owner by the mother of one of my school mates when I was a child/teenager, she was pretty hot too...

Thank you guys for your nice replies!
In these pictures you can see my A112 if you are curious... alongside the Sierra Cosworth 4x4 that belongs to a friend of mine and, of course, my Primera :)
Let me talk about pros and cons of the A112...
For a 1971 car with a 903cc engine it's really speedy and can make very good mileage but it's noisy and uncomfortable. Gears are too short for my tastes: at 60km/h engine runs at 3000rpm in 4th gear.
And don't get deceived by the pictures of mine: she needs a paint job, a rust job Cry and a new head gasket.

Oh the 903cc engine is common in the 127, Panda and more but far from the Abarth performance.

Enough for a 112 imho because it is a very light car.

You're right! I've never driven a A112 Abarth but I think it would be like driving a rocket!
And let me say this one: since my A112 belongs to the first years of production, her 903cc engine still has some specs inherited from the Fiat 850 Sport like centrifugal oil filter and dynamo instead of alternator. But not the double barrel carburetor Tongue.

Here in Spain, the 903 was fitted always in the 127. Surprisingly the early specs are more powerful (near 50cv) than the later ones (near 42cv)

Most of the 600 replica Abarth are done with a cheapo 903 instead the expensive 1050-a2000 or the 982-a1000

Prices of these engines are insane nowadays.

Really nice Primera with the "old" Nissan - Datsun engineering. I had a 1995 1.6 Sunny many years ago, plus Sunny Van 1.3, - even a Datsun 120Y Van. Would not buy another Nissan these days. Just holding onto my 2002 P12 Estate. It's reliable but not particularly well built.
