Dear All,

Very glad to find this forum. My P12 02 reg has got a 'dead' odometer. Speedo and all other gauges are working fine in the big combination dashboard. However, the digital odometer stopped, the millage won't change... I am wondering if anyone has got the same experience or could offer some suggestions.

Many thanks in advance.

Thank you very much, guys. I don't have any experience on any sorts of car repairing, and this is my first car. I will give battery reset a go. My next question might be stupid, but which battery should I disconnect and reset?  Thanks a lot.

The big battery in the engine bay, just take off the negative (minus) cable of the terminal and secure it out of the way, the reset will happen all by its lonesome after 15-20 mins

I've tried to do a battery reset. However, it didn't work. Now the mileage reading's gone. The digital odometer is blank. Unhappy Any suggestions? Shall I go to ebay and buy a second hand clork and replace it or shoud I just leave it?

But I didn't touch any plug, I only took off negative cable from the battery and put it back again after 30 mins. The odometer had its reading before I did that. Now it's gone completely blank. I think I will give up to fix it by myself. I'm thinking to bring it to some odometer correction service. But I am not sure if it is legal to let them replace a second hand one...Disapprove Or I will need to go to the dealer, they are really expensive...
