Had one of my keys suddenly stop working, changed battery, still dead, although it no longer opens doors it still turns on ignition. Any fix?

my problem is worse,i misplaced the only key i had... I dont know what to do.

I recommend a look here for a keyfob that's stopped working.  He's sorted mine out, but note it took me 4 or 5 attempts with the re-synch routine (also on the above website) before things started working again.

Yes, will not unlock or lock doors.

Read instruction on link but they refer to key fobs not keys and mention two batteries while my keys only use one.?

To reprogam your key you will have to reprogram all keys.
Start with your good key first
Unlock all doors with good key
 
Put good key in ign then switch ign from off to on 6 times within 10 secs without starting engine.
Leave key in ign
After 2 secs hazards will flash twice
Press and hold the unlock button on fob in ign
While still holding this button quickly press lock button 3 times
Release the unlock button
The hazards will flash once if OK .............. if not repeat the button sequence
Leaving the key in the ign repeat the button sequence on the spare key
The hazards will again flash once.
Switch ign on and hazards will flash twice.
Remove key and check  fobs work
The End.
 
 
 
If in doubt give it a clout!

Thanks, followed instruction and decoded my good key and after a struggle managed to recode, but spare key will not code.
I struggled to recode because instructions are incorrect.

Put good key in ign then switch ign from off to on 6 times within 10 secs without starting engine.

This should be turn ign from position 2 to 3 , six times  [not to off as this does not work].
After indicators blink twice then turn ign off, leaving key in.
The rest of the instruction will then work.
