stuck with this one, high pitched continuous alarm sound, when key is in ignition which dont go off at all, boot wont open off key fob but works off door switch, alarm sound goes off when indicators are on or hazard warning lights on. anyone came across this one.

Haven't heard of this one yet.
Might have something to do with the boot switch malfunctioning, sticking in activated position?

initial checks lead me to this removed cover on boot latch but bad light stopped play, thought i would source advice here first, till daylight breaks. thanks for your reply will let u know tomorrow the outcome. i would like to disable alarm if it cant be fixed till i get expert repair work done.

traced fault back to boot latch micro switch does not seem to be workig also conected to this is number plate lights, disconnected for now has stopped high pitched alarm noise till i get loom/switch checked/replaced.

I have had to do some tinkering with my P12's tailgate lock system before. With the key in the ignition the locking system design wont let you open the boot via the tailgate press switch , if you do try an internal beep will sound ( to presumably alert the driver someones trying the boot switch)...this might be what you are hearing?? The internal boot release button will still work. sounds like yr boot external release is shorted (if this is the case i'd expect your tailgate to unlock when the ignition key is removed.  The external boot release press switch is fairly easy to remove or fault diagnose...

Have exactly the same problem on my p12 estate started whining today just wondered if you could tell what the problem was with your car,I've disconnected the plug which has stopped the noise but as you saw there's now no number plate lights thanks

I am also getting the same problem since yesterday, non stop alarm sound is coming from the car, It stops if indigator or hazards light are on, I am not able to open the car boot from the external boot release. If its with external boot release switch please advise, how can I remove it and check for the faults.
