NISSAN PRIMERA 2002 TSPEC AUTOMATIC. SOMETIMES THE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT FLASHES AND THE WARNING SOUNDS BUT MY SEAT BELT IS FASTENED AND I'M WELL STRAPPED IN. ON OTHER OCCASIONS THERE IS NO ALARM OR FLASHING WARNING LIGHT. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY THIS IS HAPPENING AND HOW IT CAN BE CURED, PREFERABLY NOT BY HAVING TO DO SOMETHING SCARY LIKE UNSCREW THE DASHBOARD!

I have the same problem, I just move the seat a few times [electric seats] and its gone, its in the seat but you can disconnect it under the seat, but ajust your seat a few times and it will disappear for good, mine did,,,

THANKS FOR THE POST - I TRIED MOVING THE SEAT A FEW TIMES AND IT WORKED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN THE WARNING STARTED AGAIN.

It's probably in the wiring from the harness receptacle(?). Where you put the belt in.
Take a look in the service manual downloadable from here. Alternatively, i think there's an option in the settings menu to disable the seatbelt warning. Not sure though. PS please do not use all caps, it's considered shouting. |
