Hi there,

So I'd like to start by apologizing for the limited posts. I've been a bit busy importing a Datsun from Malta.

Anyway without going off topic, I purchased my eGT this year in June, since then I have lowered the car using DK lowering springs and stock shocks (also replaced while replacing the springs). Wasn't too difficult thanks to the service manual npoc provided. Only 2 bolts which had to be angle grinded off apart from that it all went smoothly.

I then replaced the stock 14 inch alloys with the almera sport plus twit 16inch alloys with 205 50 16 tyres all round. However I have noticed that I can hear some faint rubbing from the front when at lock. My understanding was that there shouldn't be any rubbing at all. But I need to investigate a bit more, I thought it might be something simple that someone else has experienced before.

I'll try add some pics to show you how it sits.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Merry Christmas.

Hi,

Strange to get rubbing using 205 tyres, have you checked to see where it could be rubbing? Having a helper having the car on full lock while you look will help.

Could be just a loose or incorrectly positioned wheel arch liner.

Could be one of the inner wheel arch liners, I'm going to get my old man to have a good look tomorrow while I turn the wheel.

Sorry for the poor quality photos, used my smartphone and was in a bit of a rush.

Thanks but believe me the low image quality covers up a lot.

Its a few different shades of red, has a few dents, is a bit rough around the edges but its pretty bullet proof mechanically.
