I have just purchase a 2003 Nissan Primera P12 Station wagon.
1. Can the language be changed from Japanese to English? 2. Can the radios mHz be reset as mine only goes to 89.9 on FM? 3. How do we connect a phone to the car via the cable under the lid in center compartment? 4. How is the DVD set up as it does not play the dvd when i put one in. Sorry everyone i am a Female and this is my first car and have no male help to assist me in understanding. Nor do i have any Japanese language experience would really love any advise please.

Hi and welcome to the forum
Your P12 if a Japanese import model and is different in many ways to the euro made model, there is a NZ Primera owners club that maybe able to help further, they often post on here. To try to answer some of your questions. 1. No, the Japanese language is hard coded unlike the euro ones. I am led to believe a Russian site did have some sort of hardware related fix though. 2.I believe that would require a specialist to fit a different receiver on the board 3.That requires a Nissan only hands free kit and it only supports very old nokia phones and similar no smart phones are supported here is a link but it is for the euro model and the 2nd version where it was placed in the centre arm rest and not under the handbrake http://www.npoc.co.uk/forum/nissan-primera-p12-hands-free-advice-please_topic12991_post188303.html#188303 http://www.npoc.co.uk/forum/p12-factory-handsfree-install-2005_topic23966_post338892.html#338892 The DVD player is for sat nav Data disc or program disk, I am uncertain if you are saying it is broken or you are trying to play ordinary DVDs |

Hi Airiana. Welcome to NPOC.
Nothing can be done with the language problem, but there is a helping hand guide on here. As for the phone there should be [or would have been] a holder for an old style Nokia phone under the lid.

Welcome to NPOC
The Language cannot be changed. This guide will help you understand the Japanese Menus http://www.npoc.co.uk/forum/primera-p12-japanese-jdm-console-help_topic46518.html You need a Frequency Band Expander for the Radio Lots of Jap Imports in NZ, so should be easy to find one. Probably your local Car Audio Shop could supply and fit.
