Thanks :)

I see what you mean, those parts are very hard to get hold of. Like, impossible to get hold of.

I'm thinking I could just make up something to hold the new headunit in place (since a new facia is unobtainable) and make my own loom.

I'm thinking perhaps the radio white screen could be something to do with having no battery/swapping the battery?

Welcome to NPOC,

There is a Facia but very difficult to get hold of now.
They sometimes appear on Ebay

Watch out for Left Hand Drive versions. They are not suitable for UK Cars.

Hi,

I recently acquired a Nissan Primera Activ (2001) (my first car Smile)

The car had been sitting in a garage for about a year before I attempted to take it for its first drive. As a result, the battery had died.

I changed the battery and all is now well except that when I turn the radio on, I just get a white screen and static noise. I'm not sure what the radio was doing before I changed the battery because the previous owner (my dad) never bothered to turn it on as he couldn't be bothered to put in the unlock code (which I have).

Any ideas if this can be fixed?

Also, I'd like to replace the stereo with a more modern one. something like this perhaps...

Is it possible to get an adopter plate of some kind so that this can be fitted? Or am I stuck with my old stereo/cassette player?

Thanks for reading.
