Hi I find it hard to lift my boot on a Nissan Primera Hatchback P12.
Could it be the boot struts need replacing.

Hi, welcome to the forum
So the boot opens every time, it's just hard to lift? I would disconnect one end of each strut and just see whether the lifting is a little smoother, just to see if the struts might have seized up and be working against you. If this gets easier, you know you would need new struts. |

If the struts are not seized in any way, does the tailgate stay in the open position, or does it need t be held, does it crash shut?

Hi
i have tried suggestions and the struts are not seized at all. When i open the tailgate,i have to manually lift it up.where i think it should rise up on its own by the gas, hydraulics of the struts ?.it has never opened properly since i bought the car . also i can stop it half way and it will just stay there not crash shut.regards.
