Update. Tried rebleeding back caliper with success as fluid was coming thru. But the bloody nipple threaded. So need to get a new caliper. Was seized anyways

Yes, cos it doesn't bleed- that figures! - Air as p11primeragt says- because it doesn't bleed- so air- then spongey feeling.... Have found on numerous cars/ bleeding procedure (if it doesn't bleed properly)... then, REALLY pump brake pedal.... up and down a few times (or more)- quite HARD - not gently- to build up more pressure- THEN release bleed nipple. Had cars that would not bleed at all but when you really pump pedal a few times (and damn hard), it builds pressure up more, then they do eventually bleed. Had cars that would not bleed easily and then all of a sudden they do and usually milky white muck/ debris sorts of comes out at the sametime, so this is good, to get clean neat fluid through the system; as is the idea and purpose. Also if you cannot get to bleed, even when really pumping have found that sometimes bleeding one of the other 3 brakes, even though it maybe in the wrong sequence, can also help- THEN once bled, revert back to the correct bleeding sequence and finally re-bleed the system in the correct order. N.B Can you not tap the old thread out and stick a slightly larger nipple in there? I got a shop that I use that sells bleed screws, different sizes etc. If it really won't bleed, then you could try taking it completely off and seeing if you can clear it by inspecting it/ cleaning it somehow. Have done this also with success. |

I'm sorry to jump on post but wondered if during your process you had any info on brake pipe layout on P12. Got a leak ( bad one ) but the pipe travels above diesel tank. Does it run to a moderator or is it a back to front system. Any help or advice would be great before I jump in and drop the fuel tank. Cheers (Newbie)

Download the Service Manual. It shows the Pipe Layout http://www.npoc.co.uk/forum/nissan-primera-p12-factory-service-manual_topic29492.html |
