Hi all, I have a 2005 primera estate 2.2dci and its sounding a little poor lately, kinda like an old ford transit van, lost that silky smooth nissan sound, but still drives great,
I have another set of the same injectors removed from my parts car so i was wanting to spray carb cleaner through them both ways to clear any dirt before fitting them, Problem is these Denso AW4 injectors have 4 pins not 2 like all the youtube guides ive watched, So could anyone please tell me which pins i should apply voltage to and which is ground, Also what voltage should i use 12 or less? |

These have never had a silky sound lol.
Anyways if it's sounding rougher than normal and the injectors are suspect, take/send them away to a diesel specialist who will pinpoint any faulty ones and clean them at the same time,if the injectors have a lot of miles on them then chances are you should see a improvement in terms of power and smoothness of the engine. |

Sometimes on the injectors connector ends they will have the - AND + on them.

Yea mate but that sounds pricey, this car has 200k miles on it now so near the end in my opinion so the less put in the better i suppose, If i could find which pins are used to open the injector i think i could clean all 8 even and then watch spray petern and pick the best looking 4??

You'll be looking at £100 for a set of diesel injectors to be tested/cleaned.

Just rang one guy who is saying they cant be repaired which i think is BS, Can you suggest someone who could sort them, I can see remanufactured units on ebay, 4 for 125, or are they fakes?

Never heard of fake injectors...As for cant be repaired well you can rebuild them so not sure what they mean..
Anyways reman ones would be ideal and I suppose for that price and without the hassle of having to sort the current ones out I would go with that option. Have you had the current injectors out of the cylinder head? Just that on some diesels they have a nasty habit of seizing in and snapping off. Although never heard of that issue on a 2.2 dci engine tbh.. |

my mistake, that price was for 1 injector not the set.... Can you suggest anyone to rebuild them,
And i havnt removed them from my car yet but i did remove the parts cars injectors and they came out no problem, Really though with 8 i think if i could just figure out how to operate the injector out of the car then i can wash all 8 and see which is best 4 then use them and save a few quid...... :-)
