Hi,
Desperately looking for advise on my Primera.

First Symptoms:
Exactly week ago car started fine then in few seconds RPM dropped to 0, usual dashboard lights remains on. re Cranked the engine same happened. 3rd time cranked with GAS and with gas stayed about a min or two. released the gas, car remained on. No engine light. Went for drive around 35KM all went good but way back engine light came on and car had no power, sputtering.

Current Symptoms:
Engine light on. OBD reader saying unknown fault, no code.Long crank 4/5+ seconds then start. Currently idle seems fine (no rev movements) but on the road no power, hesitate. Would not go over 3rd gear 50KM zone.

Diagnosis:
Over ruled possible bad fuel (as the garage closed after 7 days since filled with full tank)-no problem seen until half tank.
Spark plug changes 3000Kms before seems ok
Fuel filter missing- seems car has integrated filter with pump
Fuel pump seems ok- Took off the pump, listened noise-ok, AMPs measured around 4 APM. Voltage got 12V so Relay and battery seems okay.

MAF sensor seems okay as engine stall when disconnected
Oxyzen sensor seems okay on OBD reader (as per my mechanic friend-)
No black smoke from exhaust
Could it be earthing? Timing Chain(no code, no rattle from engine)? Could it be pressure (heard fuel pump whining wen the key on)
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! found the root cause- camshaft position sensor, now replaced with a aftermarket part. Hope it will resolve the issue.
