Sorry if this question has been asked in the threads before but i'm having no luck finding info on my problem which is with the automatic transmission not pulling away as it should. Lately i have noticed that the engine is taking longer to get up to speed. The car is a T Spec year 2004 and this is the first problem i have had that might be serious.
Thanks in anticipation of any help Chad

hi when was the fluid in the box last changed? Cvt box is very sensitive to fluid condition. Anything more than that will be a specialist job I'm afraid .

As Grim says about the oil and it is very specific, there is no non Nissan equivalent. If you have no error codes then any other fault is going to need some specific inspection.

Thanks for the reply i'm not sure as to the fluid change as it was serviced last year and wouldn't know if garage would have done this but i will have it changed to see if it helps. Fingers crossed as specialist job sounds expensive.

Not sure what the service interval it is for CVT it won't be that common, it is not cheap either. I think Nissan have recently changed specification as well

Checking over on the net its around 35000 miles or every three years so i guess this may well be the problem although it does cost around £80 for the fluid according to some links.
It is the first real problem with this car and i have owned it for the last 10 yrs so i can't grumble as to cost of remedying the problem it really has been a great motor. I will let you know the outcome when iv'e sorted and thanks AGAIN for the great help.
