Hi,
Just been reading, on the Internet, about 2,001 onwards Primeras. They are prone to electrical problems and timing chain stretch (Renault fitted chains apparently are the problem. Can cost around £1,300 for a new chain to be supplied and fitted.
P10s are apparently the most reliable. Recommend a really good P10 or P11. With your sort of money, you could wait to get a one owner- low mileage- top of the range (SE) Primera . Get an estate version and that good rear view is almost as good as having a rear camera. One can always buy a Satnav from the shops- the Megillan is only £70 from Tescos-very good- I have one.
Kind regards,
BobR
