Hello there NPOC members!
The day has finally come, after 12 long years waiting and wondering. My parents have finally given into my requests, nay demands for me to sell me there GTLE loon in starbust silver. For a long time I have admired this machine, with its understaded yet poised looks. Feeling nothing but pity for it as they hooked up another caravan for a short weekend break time after time. But finally she has been freed from those towing shackles into the hands of someone who wants to make up for all those years of punishment. Right now she is sat in my driveway awaiting her first thorough clean and polish = 1 x Silver P11 GT LE loon. Current condition -92500 miles -1 Rust patch (offside front arch- not terminal yet) -Leak in boot (center spoiler fastening missing, cheers dad) -Rattle upon cold start - subsides as chain tensioner presurises (timley oil maintenance planned) -4 heavily worn tyres (front 2 to be replaced) -Exhause rattle when changing gear (suspected loose fitting) -LCD display on the fritz (will administer tips found here to sort) -Rear mudguard recently detatched (to solve) -Moderate rust on Bonnet hinges. (wirebrush + silver sealant/paint :s ) I beleive this to be all the problems I know of but its not all doom and gloom. 6 cd changers still in pristine working order The inside full leather interior is immaculate All electronincs are present and working. Alarm and keyfobs in working order 1 may need new batteries. 16" original rims recently recoated and are un-kerbed ![]() Im looking to join NPOC as a fully paid member, I have been an avid browser of this forum, and really wanna get inside and read all the juicy bits. Whilst my budget is limited, therefore will not be spashing out on Mods like induction kits (just yet) My current main goal is to restore this heavily used machine to some of its former glory, on a pretty tight budget. I'm already finding the forum invaluable with titbits of info from people who have owned and loved these machines for years. I would post pics now, but it wouldnt be fair on the car. Il'l get her cleaned before i take a few snaps. (With snow on the way, I always time my projects to perfection it seems) Thanks for reading, Hope to see you around on forums as a fully fledged member. Regards, One extreemly proud Primera GT Owner |

Welcome to NPOC Fella, I'm sure you'll enjoy the forum and Membership is quite literally worth it's weight in Gold. Get yourself on the Trading Post and have a look at the bits and bobs. People are always selling parts and we've personally got some awesome deals through the club.
Also have a look on the meets section and have a look at what's happening in your area, it's a fantastic community both on here and in the flesh
![]() As above can't wait to see the photo's especially the mint condition leather seats!!!! Enjoy and look forward to hearing more about this little diamond ![]() Katie Lauren ![]() |

Epic introduction
I wish more new members would take the time like this.A big welcome to NPOC ![]() From your list of niggles, you've kinda solved most of them and know what you need to do but there's 2 I figured I would throw you a bone on. 1) LCD display on head unit - This is a lost cause, it may get better in warmer weather but as a rule it's fubard. Only way we sort these is to rip it out and lob and aftermarket stereo in there (these are nice and cheap nowadays). 2) Exhaust rattle - I'd punt a quid that this is a loose heat shield and most likely up front (if I had to pinpoint I'd say lower manifold).. Again, a lot of us have had this and when you find the loose heat shield, just remove it. Enjoy the forums and take care,
Shaun |

As has already been said , a cracking first post and intro, makes a nice change for most of the information in your first post!
Just one tiny thing missing though....where are you based?? Makes our job of badgering you into coming along to a meet so we can meet you and your car easier!
Your car doesnt have to be finished for us to see it..(there are some right sheds on here,

Welcome to NPOC.
Sounds like your'e determined to turn your loon around. A MASSIVE to that. As the guys have stated, the majority of your problems are relatively easy to solve. The leaky boot thing was something that caused me some issues when I had my silver loon. Its all do-able though. The paid membership is awesome and worth every penny. The meets are great, both local and national. I could not recommend it enough. Regards, Taz

Based in Speachhorpe, North Lincs.
Noticed (as usual) alot of club activity (Not just this one but Supra Clubs too) Are mainly much further south, well the bigger meets at least. Currently house locked due a recent addition to the family (8 months). Im hoping the forecasted snow hangs back long enough for me to make a start on the Prim tommorow. Im going to wonder why I sold my Rav4 if it gets deep :P. Two wheel drive and worn tyres isnt usually clever. Until then Pics will need to wait. Thanks for the warm welcome ![]() |
