hi everyone just joined and found this place pretty cool
.
been told my nissan is special. not seen another with gold lettering on the back yet xx

im touching up my gt i bought earlier this year. my mother had one and i fell in love with it.
my baby girl has some faults,,, her wiper arms arent parking themselvs..
ive changed the mech (arms) etc. but i cnt seem to fix the problem. i have been thinking maybe its the relay switch playing up . i have located the in engine fuse box. there are two. but the one next to the oil tank..
but i cannot think for the life of me which relay unit is for the wiper relay?
i have searched gogle like theres no tmorrow and cannt seem to find a diagram. only diagrams containing info about ignitions and radiator fans etc. but thats the diagram for the wrong fuse box...

anybody got any ideas for me. i know this is a common fault on the primeras, so im guessing u guys know how to fix it...

cant even comprehend the idea of my baby girl being off the road xxxx

xx keep chugging xx

Thanks so much. My copper intermittent little arm has worn into the green plastic. So a new one it is unless I can fabricate something to fill the grove.
Thanks for your help xxx

Hi Liane,

Best thing to do would be to replace the entire wiper motor, it's a five minute job and they can be picked up for about £10 and regularly come up in the forum Trading Sections which you'll be able to access if you become a member.

I hope that helps,

All the best,

thanks for all your support guys.
i dilled out eh motor. cleaned out excess greese etc and bent rivets back. didnt file them dwn as i wasnt sure by how much. i also found that my intermittent copper arm inside had worn i grove into the plate. so fabricated something to fill it in. i did pick up a new motor from my local scrappies. they charged me only £15 in the end as id already been there fr new wiper arms and mechanism thinking it was them last week.
as soon as i remember i will take some photos of my precious and post her up. thinking i will be selling her soon as shes a BOMB on insurance for me, as im so young... :(

my new question is,,,,should someone be so bold as to answer it for me is... how do you tell if a primera is se, le. special or limited edition... mines not top f the range i dont think. but i havent seen one yet with gold lettering on the back. the letters saying 'primera' are in gold?
this puzzles me. or maybe i just havent gotten close enoungh to another to notice the same ..

keep chugging you lot...

Hi Liane and a big welcome to NPOCWave

A few of us have gold badges on our Primeras and it doesn't mean anything. They were a dealer option and not specific to any model of car.

All Primeras came with silver badges as standard, unless you threw some cash at the dealer and bought the gold ones.

What year is your car?
Does your car have leather interior?
What colour is your car?

^^ Answer those ^^ and we can help tell you what you have.

Enjoy the forums and take care,
Shaun

car is 1998
but it only has a half leather interior
its silver, but a matte silver, unsure.
im not thinking its special edition of course just inquiring about the badge colour.
dont want it to have been special and me not know, although she will always be special to me
