Hi All, I've just bought a '99 2.016v SE saloon. I was introduced to this club by somebody who left a note under my wiper asking to buy it. Unfortunately for him I've only had it for a week and am really pleased with it (only done 36K and is immaculate) so will definitely not be selling. One question I have is about towing and towbars i.e. will it be a good towcar? and could anybody recommend a towbar type to fit? |

Welcome to NPOC.
One avenue to explore is a removable tow bar or even a swan neck one so you dont need to cut the bumpers at the back.

welcome along mate. I had a bosal tow bar on my P11 GT fitted with a swan neck so it could be removed with only two bolts, couldn't hardly see it which was a bonus on a smart looking GT.,It towed very well for a front wheel drive car, plenty of power fairly low down which helps.

I do have a towbar it was present when i bought it and i can verify through fact that a 1.6si can tow a 2 ton vehicle well over 50 miles :D having attached a trailer and towed a friends range rover vogue back from wales thursday night so a 2.0 16v should have absolutely no problems whatsoever
