Hello all.
Owned a number of Datsuns and Nissans over the years, but am new to the Primera. Not much of a mechanic, but have picked up some useful information from npoc forums in the last few days so thought I would join you! Thanks already to the contributors... found out about clutch adjustment. The small locking nut on mine was loose, hence a low clutch. |

Hi and Welcome to the forum
Would you like to say a few words about the Primera you have and perhaps which on?

Thanks for the welcomes.
Its a P11 2.0ltr sedan SE, 1998 in black with light bluish-grey leather(?)seats. Has fog-lamps, a sunroof, and a bit of imitation walnut trim round the gearshift... it's a manual, alloy wheels. Otherwise pretty basic and original. 82K miles, rust and dent free. Drives okay, but will probably need a bit of tlc, possibly a new clutch at some point. A rattle underneath when you move the gearshift over to 1st/2nd. Really pleased with it. Drove a couple of Bluebirds (Datsun 910, and Nissan T12) some years ago, so it feels familiar. |

Didn't post a picture when joining the forum, so here goes: Just for fun, here is a pic of the screen-wash nozzle getting a bath: Used a baking soda type de-greaser, then a squirt of bathroom descaler to get it unblocked. Bit of a fiddle to get to the one on the rear window of the saloon. If you do have to remove it, be very gentle tightening the brass nut and rubber washer which holds it to the glass! Also followed instructions in the 'How To' tutorial for replacing a pollen filter... so the de-mister has improved. Thanks to all the people who make this site a useful resource for Primera owners . |
