Hi
Can any body help with a problem I have encountered with my P11 144 Primera.
I replaced the battery and since have problems starting the car due to the NATS cutting in. I have read the hand book and must leave the key in the ignition 'on' position for 15 mins before starting.
Dont really want to go to Nissan dealer so would appreciate any help in either resetting or deactivating the NATS system.
Thanks

I copied this down years ago, I think it's for the P11-144, but have no idea if it works......
To bring out of lock mode:- Insert a registered key and turn on ignition (don't try to turn engine over) and wait 10 seconds. Remove key and wait 10 seconds. Insert same key again, turn on and wait 10 seconds. Remove key and wait 10 seconds. Insert key and start engine. |

Hi there and a big welcome to NPOC
I have edited your thread title and made sure it starts with "Nissan Primera P11 144..." - Please keep on top of that (it is explained in our forum rules):

If it is in the lock mode then this is from the 2001 P11-144 FSM
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF position. 2. Turn the ignition key switch to ON position with a registered key. (Do not start engine.) Wait for 5 seconds. 3. Return the key to the OFF position. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 twice (total of three cycles). 5. Start the engine. Can the engine start? Yes System is OK. (Now the system is escaped from “LOCK MODE”.) |
