Hi,
I got this problem: 1. the engine would stall, when the cluch is pressed. i "fixed the problem by adjusting the "idle screw" on the throttlebody. month later.. 2. When i startet the car, the radio would make a loud horrible sound. it would only start after the 2. try. hours later.. 3. When i tried to start the car.. ALL power would go out (even the clock) and a loud noise is heard. The only way i could get all the power back on, is by reconnecting the battery. after many hours.. i disvovred that if i grounded the engine to the battery, it would start just fine. some time later.. 4. Now the engine just randomly stalls at idle. Or stalls when gas i applied/cluch pressed down Debug info: When the engine stalls at idle: Video: https://goo.gl/photos/yCXXD1mRencPwn629 OBDlog: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_DxrIxWG7uBUVhYZXJubTRKYTg When the engine stalls, when gas is applied or cluched is pressed: Video: https://goo.gl/photos/tpodS4ECkxoRLY4n7 OBD log: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_DxrIxWG7uBYUZjcHVwNTUxblk |

Have you had a go at cleaning the throttle body and the idle air control valve yet? If not do that next..
Make sure you haven't got any damaged/disconnected hose pipes around the intake/inlet area. |

About 6-8 month ago i replaced the hole throttle body (mainly to get cruise control).
I do get a P0420 code once or twice a month. There seems to be no signs og vacuum of leaks. the fuel pump seems to be running fine until it stalls. can it be a electrical issue? (why would the ground go bad in the matter of hours?) Thanks :) |

Stalling when slowing down is usually caused by the MAF (luftmaengdesensor)
They wear out at around 120-160K KM Recommended to replace with genuine Bosch

Ok tak/thanks :)
Yeah it is pretty clear, that something is wrong with the MAF: According to the manual, there should be: (picture: https://goo.gl/photos/5KdJBoFTnmVpBMa67) At 2500 rpm 1.8 - 2.4v (there is 1.70v) https://goo.gl/photos/JeyQUQFND9bn13Ns8 At 4000 rpm 4.0v (there is 1.95v) https://goo.gl/photos/Spkum8XYKY4ppKSD7 BUT!: The power went out again.. (as shown in the video) video: https://youtu.be/IBuZZUOa_Dg The only way i can get it back on, is by disconnecting the battery. This time the engine ground is new. HOW can the power go out like that, i really dont understand how its even possible, to lose all power like that. |

That the fuel-gauge and temp-gauge is stuck, when the power goes out. even if i take the key out.

Very strange. No idea what could be causing that. The Car wont drive very well at all without it but it will start and idle. I tried on my 144 years ago. I don't think it would rev beyond about 2K.
