Hey guys,
my Primera has recently developed a whistling sound in 80-90km/h. It is more intense when slowing down and it fades into no whistling at all around the borders mentioned above. Any idea what might cause that?

Thanks

Check exhaust joints for leaks.Make sure the rubbers around the windows are good too.

It doesn't matter what gear is it in (whistles even in neutral), so that might rule out the exhaust joints leak, right?
Well, those rubbers are not as flexible as they used to be, but I can't see any bulge or anything like that.

If anything it sounds even more like the exhaust then.

Ok, I'll find a day to closely inspect the exhaust for leaks, as I won't have time to jack up the car until weekend.

Use tissue paper to help with diagnosis and ideally get someone to rev the car, a leak can be easily missed :)
