I just bought my P12 today. Generally very happy with it, but I've now discovered that it is very difficult to engage reverse gear and the other gears are also quite sticky at low speed. However, it is easy to shift through all gears when the engine is off. I read a post on a forum that suggested this could point to a linkage problem. Does anyone have any thoughts/ suggestions on this and any idea how much it might cost to fix?!
Many thanks, |

If the gears are tight with the engine running but ok when the engine is not running that points to a clutch issue.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. It actually pulls away ok in 2nd on a hill.
The forward gears aren't too bad. Reverse was ok initially this morning but got progressively worse as it warmed up. Also the parking sensor noise sometimes sticks in continuous when reversing, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be related? |

Worth trying an oil change first.

Yes, much better thanks. Had the clutch changed and fresh gear oil. Did the trick. Many thanks everyone, once again.
