New here and trying again =)

Windscreen wipers wont stop untill I turn the ignition off.
In the Service Manual, it is said:
"Auto stop wiper operation does not operate." >>>>
"Front wiper and washer switch" >> "Check front wiper and washer switch"
And
"Open or short circuit" >>> "Check harness for open or short"

I bought used switch and the problem is still there.

So does "check harness" actually mean: "Check wiper motor"??

Has anyone ever tried to clean or fix the motor?

Thank you!

The manual is telling you need to test with a multimeter two circuits.

Disconnect front wiper motor harness connector and front wiper and washer switch harness connector.

then with the multimeter, red probe in terminal 4 of the wiper motor harness and black to earth (engine block) you should get zero reading, if you don't you have a fault in the wiring

if OK ,then check same terminal (again with the multimeter set to continuity) black probe in terminal 13 of washer switch, this time you should get a reading

if you have changed the switch then finding the harness connector should be easy for you, the other one will be on the motor.

Most likely the motor mechanism is gunged up with old rust contaminated grease preventing the motor contacts operating properly.
It's a strip down and clean out of that mechanism and new grease applied.

Manuals only apply to new or nearly new.
If in doubt give it a clout!
