Both problems are ballpoint/bush related. It's just a matter of finding which ones are worn.

Lift the car so that the front wheels get above ground.
Grab the wheel in a 6 o'clock grip, try to shake the wheel. Does it feel tight? If not, get under the car and put a finger on each link to feel if it moves while someone shakes the wheel.

Grab the wheel in a 9:15 grip, try to shake the wheel. Does it feel tight? If not, get under the car and put a finger on each link to feel if it moves while someone shakes the wheel.

Turn the wheel 90 degrees, and repeat both tests.

If it's tights in both 6 o'clock grips, but not in both of the 9:15 grips, the problem is steering related (tie rod, inner or outer).

If the wheel hub is worn, it won't be tight in any of the 4 tests. But before you start thinking of replacing the wheel hub, make sure there really is no movement to any of the links. Also, if it is the wheel hub you should be able to reduce the problem temporary by tightening the wheel hub nut a bit.

Hi guys. Yesterday i have bought a Primera p12. On a 10 min test drive ran smooth no issues other than the abs lights are on. On my way home the engine has lost power doesnt go over 2000rpm, but occasionally did. I have read a couple of topics about earthing and brake light fault but i just wonder can the engine power loss be related to the ABS. Where to start to look for the problem please??

Many thanks
David

ABS light may indicate either a sensor fault (lose connection?) or wheels toe in out of range. Does the car drive straight forward when the steering wheel is held straight?

its usually considered rude to hijack someones thread with your own problems.
