I can not understand the downloading problem you are having if you are using a PC, is the OS Windows.
I have just tried it again and it is fine, 97mb download, just make sure you hit the green download button in the box with the title of the zip file in it then accept the download that windows throws at you at the bottom of the screen, I usually set a specific download location with the drop down menu

I'd have taken off the door card, sat in the car and worked the locking mechanism, then you'd be able to see what was happening, it might be that you just have a connector rod disslocated...

Defo not the connector rods/strap, it can be opened and closed manually on both outer and inner handles

As mentioned above when inserted down the open edge of the door through the slot it does, don't forget there is no barrel lock on the drivers side

Oh, didn't realise you didn't have a barrel, I thought they all had a barrel on the drivers door... lol.

waiting for my part to arrive now and hoping it's the correct part etc. looking forward to having a go at fitting it myself.
I eventually managed to get hold of the electronic manual so that's a good start. at least I can see where all the door screws and plastic clips are. Thanks to everyone for the advice on this subject. I will keep you all posted when I have fitted the part, which hopefully will be this weekend. Only problem is, I might have to miss the Bournemouth Air show. That's a bummer!!

Hi
Thought I would answer an old question posted on how to remove a drivers side door handle on a P12. Once all the panels are off and glass removed- 1. Loosen the torx screw located just above the 3 securing screws of the locking mechanism. 2. Push the plastic handle mechanism into the door, it only moves a bit. 3. Pull the outside handle out, like you would open the door and then remove the end plate, this was stiff but came out with a push from the inside of the door pushing outwards. 4. Once the plug is removed you can prize the handle backwards and it all comes apart. 5. This allows you to remove the cable to fit a new actuator and mechanism. Took me ages to work this out, so I hope this helps everyone on the future. |
