Hi my first time on here and i hope someone can help.
I have a Primera 1.8 SS. when i put my foot on the brake the rear indicators lights, light up and when i indicator right or left my brake light at the back sometimes comes on and the rear indicator flash faster. But with all this when i am driving at night if i put my main beam on i get a slight loss of power especialy going up hill. Thank for any ideas you may have. |

Sounds like a bad earth to me as well. If it's the same as a P11 then the brake light earths, according to Haynes, are located at the two C pillars. You could have more than one bad connection of course, but I would start with the brake light earths.

Hi and welcome to the forum
Ordinarily I would be agreeing with the great sages above regarding the rear light cluster earth fault/fix. What is a little surprising is your 2006 reg which would place this well into the 2nd edition P12 and the wring loom was replaced to avoid this fault. Try it first and let us know how you get on

Was thinking of booking it in for a 'drop test' in a garage .
Is this a good idea. |

I don't think it will be the battery. Have you checked if you have any blown bulbs, make sure they are all working including interior ones.

Clean the contacts in your light cluster, make sure there is no surface corrosion.
