It's the NATS chip in the key, that gets read by the ignition ring, that turns off the immobiliser.. Nowt to do with the fob sadlySmile

If you got a haynes manual you can do a self diagnostic check for the engine management light very easy to do. To reprograme your fob is easy too, you can search on this for the instructions!

hope its something simple for you mate

Bigg, your question has been answered, the actually fault will be id discord immu- key, meaning your key has lost its code or the immu ring has gone down/lost power

If the immu ring has gone down it will need replacing at Nissan and the keys programmed.  If its lost its feed, you'll need to either repair or replace the affected wire

Please do excuse my sarcasm but our members spend so much time doing all these to help out other members and no one seems to look in the section.

The "how to" on reprogramming your key fob is funnily enough in the "how to" section and on the very 1st page, so not sure how it would have been so hard to find?

That's not the cause of your problem (for the 3rd time) anyhowSmile

iv had the electrician look at it today and the computer is reading a immobiliser fault  but could not remove the fault            is there a switch any were on the primera which could have tripped    i no the old orions and escorts had one in the boot if they were bumped it would trip the switch and cut the imobiliser in  he said it could be a possibility

I don't mean to sound rude but you've come on here for one reason and one reason alone..... To get help with a fault on your car..
SEVERAL people have tried to help you. I'VE gone into fine detail about what the fault is likely to be. You obviously HAVEN'T taken any of that information on board. Why you felt then need to have an electrician look at it is beyond me.

May I suggest before you spend any money OR ask the same question again, READ the comments/ suggestions that have been KINDLY left for you! Angry

If your going to argue please do it via PM....... Also, please try to type in English.

You haven't been to Nissan yet, have you? NO, therefore you haven't done everything you've been told to do.

I replied with the advice- you've already been advised, go and re-read the comments left for you.

I'm not entirely sure how to take the last sentence as it makes no sense at all. Please feel free to clarify ;-)

why have you replyed if you have no advice

you should keep your opinions to yourself when you dont no who your talking it will get you in trouble one day

NiceClap

As Baz is one of Nissans highest qualified Techs in the UK, I guess you just shot yourself in the foot.

Anyways, both him and I have tried to help, if you want to waste money on a general car sparky or unplug your battery, that's your call.

If you repeat your unsavoury comments again and indicate another threat, you're gone from NPOC.
