The administrators of this forum have linked up with us so that we can offer you competitive car insurance quotes.
 
We have a fantastic car insurance scheme for people on car club forums and that is mainly due to 4 things -
 
1. There are very few exclusions on the scheme! It starts at age 21, and includes all postcodes (excluding Northern Ireland), and all modifications (except nitrous).
2. The premiums have to be competitive. We underwrite 14,000 units in the office per month!
3. We have an excellent phone answering system! An overhead screen changes to red when a phone call is on hold, alerting both the manager and the Chief Executive! We have a great emphasis on answering calls.
4. We have an excellent Claims Accident Management company.
 
We've already had these posted on forums -
 
- I'd just like to add that they did me a fantastic price for the Cinqs renewal, knocking £400 off my mega £995 renewal fee
- Had my renewal through from .... at £880!!! Call Prestige and spoke to Jade who was v helpful and got my quote down to £670! Brilliant.Highly recommended guys.
- Did me a great deal on my modified turbo. £450 fully comp ;).
- Just had a fantastic quote of these guys, previous best was £1040 and they just quoted £825
- Just wanted to say great customer service none of that jargon talk just straight forward and friendly and very helpful
- Recommend this insurance company i am paying £1200 fully comp prestige quoted me £490 fully comp , am changing very soon thanks prestige
 
But the main reason we can offer this scheme to you is because people who are registered on car forums are viewed as better drivers which allows us to offer cheaper premiums. This has been borne out statistically which makes users of this forum a desired niche for our insurance company. We want to attract you as a customer!
 
I will take an active part each day answering questions you may have about insurance. My sole job is to maintain this scheme so each question should get a quick response unless I am in a meeting!

It’s nice to hear people already leaving positive feedback about our scheme –

 

·         “Thats a great price!”

 

·         “I had a quote today, just need to compare it with others, however did think it was a pretty good price.”

 

·         “ok, good news! just to give you an idea of things, best quote i could get from any of the independent (i.e not on comparison sites) insurers was over 1500 for third party f+t, best price from any of the comparison sites 830 third part f+t, best price from my current insurer .... was 880 fully comp, best price with these guys was......drum roll................£520 fully comp! couldn't believe my ears ......so basically i really do recommend you give these guys a call, can't guarantee they'll get you the best price as we've all got different driving history's but for me they were the cheapest by a very long way, and as someone else said they're good to talk too, none of that scripted nonsense you have to wade through with the others. anyway i'll stop the praise there before i start to sound like an employee or something, but basically make sure you at least check with these guys before you renew your insurance.”

 Welcome to NPOC.
 
  A couple of quicky Questions, at what age do you class as classic for Classic Insurance?  As I have my 19 year old Primera due, and my 20 year old one due soon.
 
  Also what payment options do you do? As with Adrian Flux I can either pay in one hit, pay over 3 months, 6 months or do it monthly.

Not sure I understand what you mean so apologies for being dim and seeking clarification, Tim.
You mean there is a discount for paying up front and that the request for a credit check was therefore just a request and NOT mandatory?  Taz will be interested to read that based on my understanding of his issue.

We ask about credit checking as there are some insurers who predominately indicate rates based on their credit ratings.  Some insurer claims statistics prove that people with better credit ratings are less likely to have larger claims.  So they give discounts accordingly.

So it's not mandatory.

Not to continue any form of argument/debate as I'm well passed it and happily insured elsewhere, but I will say that the operative told me otherwise Tim, stating that it was mandatory for a credit check. If I had received the above confirmation I maybe would not have been so offended. 

I feel that the claim that people with a better credit rating are less likely to claim is gibberish. Next people with size 10 or greater shoes will be whacked as they have a greater risk of getting their foot stuck under the brake pedal. I just cant get my head around it, especially when some people with lower ratings are less likely to want to stump up a years insurance for 2 cars in advance. Who's risking the most there, especially when both cars don't come to £1500 all in!

If it helps I was just told by another broker that I would not be quoted without a credit check - I said I found that offensive and asked for the Manager.   Surprise surprise - it is not mandatory and I've actually been quoted a reasonable premium at my renewal date.  
 
THe problem is that the operatives are given too little information(deliberately?) and they believe what they are saying so it's not even a convincing lie to them it's the "truth".

We did twice as much business in September than we did in our previous best month, July!!!

 

 

 

Here is some latest feedback -  

 

  • Just got a renewal quote from Prestige, the missus said it was great to talk to someone who knew what they were on about and didn’t treat her like a fool. On top of that we saved 40 quid. Not a fortune but then again who could moan at £350 all in and no poxy exclusions for it being a Cabriolet (don’t laff, a lot exclude theft from inside the car and personal injury).

 

  • Just called; very encouraging conversation with Tony. Just need to wait for my renewal to come through now.

 

  • Cheers for all your help yesterday and getting one of yours guys to call me and go through everything i would get and giving me a great price at the end of it expect a call from me very soon to seal the deal

 

  • Can't thank the guys at Prestige enough.

 

  •  I gave them a hard time with tough demands and they managed to beat my ‘XXXXXX’ quote by £40

 

  • Couldn't fault their customer service at all

 

  • Must say a big thanks and also sorry to the guys at Prestige. I've been with ‘XXXXXX’ for the last few years and they've always been pretty decent, last year I was quoted £805 with me and the missus on the car 5 years NCB but this year they wanted £839, still a good price but not what you'd expect. So I rang Prestige and they managed get it down to £725

Car insurance and the gender directive

“Women drivers under the age of 25 will see their premiums rise from December 2012.

Car insurance is one of the main areas that is being affected by the European ruling on gender. Historically, gender has been used alongside the type of vehicle, the age of the driver, the postcode of the driver and the insured’s driving history, among other factors, to calculate the car insurance premium rate of the individual.

 

Likely impact on car insurance premiums

Insurance companies will no longer be able to charge different rates according to the gender of the applicant. Claims data highlighting that young male drivers have considerably higher accident rates and claims costs than young women will now not be allowed to be used when insurers set premiums. A male driver under 21 is twice as likely to have an accident as a woman of the same age.

 

This will mean that women drivers under the age of 25 will see their premiums rise, while their male counterparts should see their rates decline. There has been some speculation that insurers will maintain high premium levels for young men and raise rates for young women drivers to match these.

 

What car insurers are doing

Car insurers are adjusting their risk rating and pricing models to be able to offer gender-neutral quotations by 21 December 2012.”

Is there a particular subset of underwriters that are typically used for Car Club Member Primera GT's which are modified?

We use many underwriters such as Aviva, Ageas, AXA, etc, and also have our own insurance company, Mulsanne, so there is a long list.
 
We look at each quote on it's own merits and we quote the cheapest company based on this.

Hi all
I should have gotten around to this earlier but hey ho, better late than never !

I had just done my insurance on my P11 GT this year, changing companies in the process, when I had the opportunity to purchase a P10 eGT. One of my major concerns was what the cost of insurance was going to be. As most of you will know, if you insure a second car, your insurance on it starts with NO no claims bonus.

After trying the company the P11 GT is with, AND several others, all were talking telephone numbers & putting silly restrictions on a poor 61 year old guy, who only wanted a project in his spare time. (thats me by the way).

I thought I would try Prestige & steeled myself for a long winded phone call, the obligatory thousand questions followed by a pause in which time stands still, followed by the disappointment of another astronomical figure.

Six or seven questions later, and hardly a pause in the conversation, I had a quote ! I had to ask for it to be repeated, then I asked if they were sure ? They were, and I took the quote up there and then !

Prestige had managed to find me a company that would give me no claims discount, even on a new policy ! I paid little more for the P10 eGT than I was paying for the P11 GT with ten years plus no claims.

In short, these guys worked out well for me. My gratitude goes to Tony. Quick, efficient, helpful, we even managed a few laughs in the conversation !

Take it from me guys 'n' gals, this is insurance with a human touch !

I would encourage anyone who needs a quote to give Prestige a ring, after all, what have you got to lose ? They may save you money !

.........last month was our best month of the year for policies taken out – September more than doubled our previous best (July) and October beat September!

 

Here is just a portion of the feedback received in the last few weeks about our scheme -

 

  • Dunno the lass's name that dealt with me, but very helpful service, called back on time, very friendly and a good price. Good Times!

 

  • Very very happy with what I was quoted  

 

  • Well I'm waiting with bated breath for the quote to see if it beats ‘X’ and ‘Y’....! It'll be great if it does and I must say that the person called back exactly when they said they would, I have not had to wait in queues and I'm impressed with the service on the telephone. THat's a major point as many on here become very disillusioned with a company if they keep failing to get through. Definitely good service and I'll report back again if I'm happy with the quote.

 

  • Well I've got to say I'm extremely pleased with the service I've received today. Spoke to two advisors, Chelsea and after she went home, David. Both extremely helpful and courteous doing exactly what they said they'd do. And to top it all my premium is less than my renewal with ‘X’ and has £150 less excess too! I will recommend you to others and can say to folks on here, give them a try, they've been exceptional with me.

 

  • ive just gone with these guys. 545 fully comp, saved 110 squid on my renew.

The thing is I don’t actually do the quotes myself. We have a specialist team who do the quotes though I am always free to answer any questions or queries from you on here as I oversee everything.

You may have seen a recent news article stating that drivers who attend a speed awareness course instead of taking a fine and points on their licence may still see their insurance premiums increase.

 

Just to let you know this would not be the case with our car insurance scheme on here.  :)

·         Good service with a very good quote, cheaper by a large amount than ‘X’(who I am with now), ‘X’ = £770. Prestige = £550!!  

 

·         The quote worked out at about 10% less than any other similar quote with the same amount of excess etc. The service was quick and very professional, all sorted within 20 minutes. Highly recommended.  

 

·         I had just done my insurance on my P11 GT this year, changing companies in the process, when I had the opportunity to purchase a P10 eGT. ·         I have now taken out my Insurance through Prestige and Ill give you some information to make a descision for yourself. 25 year old Male 8 years NCB IAM member SP30 May 2012 - 3 points and a £60 fine Fully Comprehensive  Social, Domestic and Pleasure plus commuting to and from a single fixed place of work.10,000 miles a year Modifications declared 12months Insurance came in at £525 from Prestige, which was £70 cheaper than confused.com. I then added the breakdown cover for £50 so my total premium for 12months insurance and breakdown cover is £575 which is still £20 cheaper than any confused.com quote. I added the breakdown cover as it was half what the ‘X’ wanted to renew with them (I have been with ‘X’ for 8years!)

Congratulations to Chris Woodward of Focusrsoc.com who won our £50 Prize Draw!!! (Chris permitted us to publish his name). We will hold another draw around March time.

Thanks also to those who have rung us for a car insurance quote in December. October was our record month but we are on course to beat that which is great considering December is historically a quieter month for renewal dates!

Here’s just a bit of feedback from the last 4½ weeks –
  • Just gave Prestige a call and so far they have the best renewal quote. 1st year the ST was £1k, 2nd £750, 3rd £650 and 4th was £600 - they have just quoted £395 with bonus points and mods declared so quite impressed after the very small drop last year and not bad when I'm still just 26.
  • Just sorted the scala with prestige, saved over £120 compared to renewal note from existing broker. Well worth a call.
  • Spoken to these guys today, and they are to say the least fantastic! Extremely friendly, and have saved me loads on insurance. Incredibly happy, and would recommend to anyone!
  • Prestige were so helpful and quick and quoted me 177 a month which is the cheapest I have found on pay monthly plans! I’m with the above insurance n there a top company.
  • Prestige saved me almost £100 from the best quote I've had so far . £550 for living in N10 is great price as I had to pay around £900 last year. I've also tried ‘X’ again (don't know why as last year they quoted me £1200) and their best was just over a grand (insane). I'd like to thank Dave from Prestige who knew what he was talking about with no nonsense questions and he was the only agent I spoke to during my call and he did called me back as promised.

What I'm saying is that we prefer people who have had a year's experience on a performance car if wishing to insure a performance car, but will quote even if this is not the case. However, it won't be competitive so we'd be wasting people's time.

There`s no mention of this in your opening post in which "WE VIEW YOU AS A BETTER DRIVER!".

Surely when dealing with enquiries from  members of clubs such as this,where the cars are over 10 years old  and where the  increase of BHP from,.say a 1.6  to a 2.0 can at best be described as "slight " to at worst, "modest" you are alienating some members you are proporting to be helping.

Take myself for instance.I now find myself in a position to buy a "performance" vehicle  with a 50 bhp increase on the car t i have been driving for the last 7 years, only i am now being told "Sorry mate your wasting your time"

Ok it`s not your fault, it`s the underwriters, and i fully accept that my premiums would go up because of the grouping,but  not because i have`nt been driving it long enough as well. Double wammy!.Maybe if that statement was in your opening post  things would be clearer.
Sorry for the rant but it just pee`d me of a bit.

Normally one of the quietest months, December was our second best month of 2012!

 

January has started well also - this feedback was posted yesterday evening:

 

·         Very impressed. I hardly ever advertise products/services that I use. Of course by the early part of January my mind turns to Car Insurance. Well the nights are only just starting to draw out, and there's not a lot on the Television. I had my quote from my current provider, and yet again I'd said that I was changing. I'd visited comparison websites....Emailed the people at PRESTIGE KEEP MOVING CAR INSURANCE, and left them my details. The did try and ring me this morning - but I was at work. Rang them this evening, and spoke to a very nice girl called Chelsea. The quote was just over £35 cheaper than my current provider - BUT WITH ALL THE MOD'S, and coming in at about £40 than a very good policy provided by a well known car insurer. To get probably the best policy I have ever had for the Xsara, and at the cheapest price, I reached for the Debit Card. Oh, and I didn't have to wait on hold, listening to a recorded message on how my call was important to them.

 

Here is some other recent feedback -

 

·         With the discount applied to forum users it's not only the best quote so far, but the flexibility of payment options and REALLY good interest rate on monthly instalments means I shall be calling you guys as soon as my car gets it's MOT. Also, thanks to Jane at your call-centre for being so darn helpful!  

·         Highly recommend, excellent quote with mods. Nice to actually speak to an insurance company that actually understand your car and needs without the silly quotes!

·         Phoned today as needed rapid cover for a ( new to me ) car which i need to collect 300+miles away over weekend. Prestige could not have been better. The young lady was brill all done by mobile when driving from Surrey to Devon - price very, very good. Considering I have had company cars for several years and only started using my own car since 2011, recommend to anyone. Please give them a try and do yourself a favour.  

·         I spoke with Nikki.  Very nice and very helpful.  Definitely not your typical insurance company.  

·         Ria saved a small fortune with a very competitive quote from this broker.  

·         Looking good, almost a 50% cut on the quotes I've had so far for the fiesta.

I was shocked to see a recent poll stating that 41% of people hadn’t or wouldn’t declare the modifications on their car to their insurers! Amazing!

We’ve been receiving quite a few requests for quotes recently from people who have seen the good feedback about our scheme but who are only halfway through their current policy elsewhere.

 

I would just ask if people could call us at renewal time as firstly, we can then give precedence to people who need insurance, and secondly because people generally lose quite a bit financially if they cancel policies mid-term due to cancellation rates & fees. Also, premiums can change on a monthly basis.

 

We will always endeavour to save you money and provide the best service we can but it’s better all round if it’s at renewal!  

 

Here is some recent feedback!

  • Thank you guys, just started a new policy, cheapest around and good policy details too....one happy customer here. Fully comp, all mods, business use, and confirmed 205bhp from 136bhp.
  • Just taken out insurance with prestige today. My renewal from was £722. £150 excess and no mods declared. Prestige quoted me £600 with £400 excess, with new alloys, lowered 50mm all round and gti leather interior, all covered like for like. Mk2 saxo vtr (2001), I'm 33 with 3 years ncb. Had other quotes in excess of £1200, so overall I'm very pleased.
  • Can't recommend these guys enough, just been on the phone to them again, really friendly, very helpful, and they'll actually insure my Astra when i've finished supercharging it.
  • Big thanks to Prestige who have blown everyone else out of the water with their quote on my civic! Looks like I'm with you for the next 12 months.
  • WOW - Phoned up Prestige. Told them my renewal price and the lovely Chelsea said she didn't think they could beat it as it was quite low already (surprise surprise!) She then said she was faxing the underwritters and getting back to me. A phone call later and she has managed to reduce my premium by 20%!!!!! Fantastic news. In short, give them a ring. Phoned my existing insurer and they can't/won't move on price.
  • I was surprised at the quote I got. £1400 with modifications declared, & I was getting £1450+ with no modifications before.

January (historically the quietest month) was our equal 2nd best month for policies ever! And here is some recent feedback to reflect this -

  • I just want to say how very happy i am to now be covered by prestige! They offered me the cheapest quote and declaring all of my modifications! I would recommend them to anyone with a modified car!
  • I just been on the phone to you guys. Just want to say was very happy with my quote. Managed to bring me down by half what I'm paying now. Also managed to beat every quote I have had online so I will be taking my cover out with this lot when my actual renewal date comes around. Also would like to say great customer service on the phone too and when had to be put in hold was not kept on hold for too long. Even when I first rang up and was on hold and someone answered but everyone was still busy that dealt with quotes guy took my number and called me back within 5 mins. I'm very impressed I would most definitely recommend anyone on here to give them a call when due day comes. Cheers.
  • Just had a quote from you guys - I'm a first time driver so have been getting silly quotes until i rang you.
  • My renewal came through at £617 which was ok as i paid £700 last year so phoned up, had a chat with a guy called David, and we managed to get it down to £545, not too shabby as its the cheapest insurance i have had in about
    5 years.

Just had a quote off this insurance specialists and they where nearly double from many online quotes for a stock 1.8 prim worth a few hundered quid, I know it carnt work out cheaper for everyone but nearly double is way off. Thumbs Down

·         Just thought I'd add a little feedback from personal experience... just phoned the guys at Prestige and got a quote, including my modifications for less than my current renewal (which didn’t include the mods!!)..Even using the direct debit payment method, Prestige have saved me about £120 on my renewal.... I shall be calling next week to sort out the policy with them - GREAT WORK!!!

·         Thanks Prestige just saved me £82 on this years renewal! goes someway to covering the road tax!

·         Just had a quote from you guys and I am very pleased with it you have got yourselfs a new customer come renewal date.

·         Really impressed with the service and the quote. I was that happy I took my policy out there and then.

·         I would like to give a bit of feedback as I have just taken out a policy with you guys. Very helpful and understanding staff - I was dealing with Chelsea. Beat my previous quote by £60 on a fully modified 380bhp, I was very impressed. Also, the scheme offers a like for like replacement on mods so very happy. Also, additional mods can be added to your car as required (after discussion and agreement).

Sent out my cover note within 5minutes to allow me to get tax that same day. Would definately recommend this company if you need to renew your policy. Thanks a lot.

Here is some recent feedback –

  • I am very happy with the quote I received and cheaper than my renewal from my current insurance company! David was very helpful and friendly, just like the other reviews I have seen from others on Facebook and another forum I'm a member of! Anyway, if anyone's is due soon, give these guys a go, it's only a phone call and you could save some cash as I will when mine is due! Such a friendly
    company, which is very unusual these days, I'm currently insured through XX and even they are becoming very unhelpful and unfriendly!
  • Cheers for the quote for my dad’s car saved him £70 which seeing as he’s 65 is a lot for him fast and pleasant service also will be giving you a bell when my renewal is due.
  • Just phoned these for a quote and got it £150 cheaper with all my mods declared!! Seriously ring these guys if renewal is close!!
  • Rang these guys yesterday for a quote all i can say is wow! The person I spoke to was polite and new his stuff about the modifications, they will not charge for extra mods mid way through the policy unless it adds massive bhp. Give them a call they beat my renewal price by a long way.
  • Great bunch of guys to speak to on the phone, they really know there stuff and understand what I’m requiring.

Smashed Adrian flux renewal quote for me. Beat several other big names in the retro/classic modified insurance by £47 to £176. Even if they had not been the cheapest, I would say of all the people I dealt with today, they were by far the best in their manner and professionalism.

It normally is cheaper to go fully comp, never really had a problem with flux, theyve always been cheaper as they are the only ones that come back with realistic prices for heavily modified cars. Of you want honesty and cheap insurance I highly recommend need to insure, the owner paul is a superb bloke who can't do enough, if I was to leave flux that's where Ali would go.

Depends on the insurer, the modded brigade are definitely more competitive with modded cars than standard ones, it's just their turf.  Even when I have standard cars though I always stay with my company (modded specialist) as they always match the price of anyone else.

Here is some recent feedback from the last 8 weeks -

  • Prestige managed to save me a massive £360 on my insurance.
  • Sorted mine yesterday, best quote I had by a long way.
  • Sent in the online form on Sunday, got quoted today, was the lowest I could find and saved £115 with the club discount. Can’t thank you guys enough.
  • Just want to thank David and the team at Prestige today, even though they were low on staff they took their time, were very understanding of the mods and there was no pressure at all into buying now like other insurers had throughout the afternoon, they also smashed the cheapest renewal quote I could find including mods like for like etc.I hope to be using you for any car I buy in the future and will certainly recommend you anytime I can. I am incredibly happy at knocking a substantial amount off my renewal from last year too.

Couple of things really. Firstly we don't have the June rates in from the insurers and secondly, it frees the phones for people due for renewal now.  I just read of someone saying we were busy so would have to speak later and if they need insurance soon, then it's not the best service.

85% of our customers due for renewal last month renewed their policies!

Here is some recent (& a little witty!) feedback –

•     Called today to get a quote and was really impressed. Despite being named after a fairly average bun and a part of London I'd really rather I ever went to again Chelsea was absolutely superb. Answered all my stupid questions and tried her hardest not to sound bored, promised a recall later in the month when I'd put a list together of all the mod receipts and quoted me a very good price.

•     I am over the moon with the level of cover and price I have got. These guys are legends, they beat all other quotes i had and also managed to get the price on my insurance down to less than what i was paying. Moses at Prestige was very polite and easy to deal with and made it all that little less painful. Thanks again for beating all other quotes and giving such a great discount.

•     My recently auto-renewed current policy had managed to drop several of the mods from the past year so would have been basically pointless. I messaged with the list of mods from my progress thread and asked about the easiest way to get a quote. After a quick response, I filled out usual style online form. 10 minutes later, I received a call from Chelsea who confirmed the details from the online form and confirmed the mod list was correct (fortunately without actualy going through it). A bit of funky music later and I had a quote which was cheaper than my current policy but also included ALL the mods on a like for like basis. Unfortunalely your not allowed to take out a policy whilst already having a current one. So, a quick goodbye to Chelsea to get on the phone and cancel my current insurance...After cancelling my original insurance, I called back Prestige and spent a short while on hold whilst being connected to Chelsea again to take out the policy. Again, she confirmed details on me and Mrs P, car details, the list being accurate and previous claims etc... and then terms etc so took a while but at least everything is correct... before paying. So, a decent price and pretty painless with no hassle for some fairly hefty mods. Only the cheesy music stops it being a 10/10.

•     Just had a very pleasant chat with Chelsea and Prestige have beaten xxx by £102 this year. Suffice to say have taken the policy out, great service and the best price I was able to come by this year.

•     Gave one of your very pleasant operators today (didn't catch her name sorry!). It was a very good customer experience - and all hope is not lost yet...When taking potential mods into account, your increase was a LOT less than the cheaper company was. Very many thanks for taking the time and effort, all in all a top job.

And here’s a bit more recent feedback –

•     Simply - Wow! I'd done the usual compare sites, and had gotten (what appeared to be) a great price from one of the big insurers. Called your good selves today, and spoke to Moses - very pleasant chap. Upshot...with up to 240bhp via remap, and aftermarket alloys = £490. Result. Needless to say, paid up there and then. As painless as buying insurance could be, and a great price - very many thanks!
•     I've also insured my Focus with you too! I can't fault the quotes & the service.
•     Smashed renewal quote for me. And to boot I asked for TPFT cover and was recommended to go fully comp as it was over £70 quid cheaper. Now that's honesty! Beat several other big names in the retro/classic modified insurance by £47 to £176. Even if they had not been the cheapest, I would say of all the people I dealt with today, they were by far the best in their manner and professionalism.
•     Brill customer service and best price for modded car . From £800+ to £475 . Big thanks!
•     My renewal came through from XX and they wanted just over £600 which does not cover my modifications, so if i had an accident the car would go back to standard. Tried the online comparison sites and the cheapest was £530 and i don't even know what that covers. Phoned a nice lady at prestige and have now insured through them at a cost of £480 which also covers all my modifications like for like so happy days well worth giving them a buzz, thanks.
•     I’ll be insured with prestige.. all mods covered like for like easily beat my renewal..spoke to a very nice chap called Moses.

•     You've been absolutely fantastic for me again this year. I was insured by you last year, you were fantastic through my accident claim...came back with a quote of £449.90. Mods declared (Not done yet but future proofing). BSR Remap, Exhaust, Lowered 20mm, Non standard air filter. Absolutely blown away!
•     Just chatted with Moses who works for yourselves, and he has blown the XX renewal out of the water, and beat YY.
•     hi, just wanted to let people know i called these up to get a quote, they were very effisient and friendly, helpful too , and it resulted in my cheapest quote so far , wich as a 19 year old is a good thing aha ! rate them highly.
•     Same here, c 150 quid saved on our quote, top work!
•     Another satisfied customer here. £150-200's cheaper than my previous insurers and that includes break down assistance!
•     I can vouch for Prestige...Gave them a call on the 'off chance' and managed to save about £130 on my renewal, including instalment payments and declaring my mods - Very happy!!

I’ve been asked quite frequently when the earliest people can ring us for a quote. It’s best to ring us when you receive your renewal papers but failing that, we can quote up to 30 days before renewal.

July is proving to be a good month as well! So far, pro rata, we are ahead of last month which was our record month so please ring if your renewal is due!

I'm always surprised at the quotes I get for my Primera, it spends 95% of the year parked up, under cover, does 2-3 trips a year, one of which is to the Mot garage, and yet still get a mad price, which wouldn't be bad if it was a daily driver...doh

Big ask for you to ring us for a quote if you’re due for renewal. We are close to beating last month’s record for sales and it would be great if we could achieve that!

Here is some recent feedback –
•Big thank you to Moses at Prestige for getting me a good deal with all my mods on was well cheaper than XX. Looks like you deserve a pay rise there Moses as you have pulled in a few new customers this week including me my mum n dad and my mate so cheers Prestige nice people and nice service spot on.
•(CLAIMS HANDLING) - Lau's been impressed with the service shes had tbh, had an accident, courtesy car all sorted for a while, paid out quickly, then put up with her calling every other day to find out how much her car of the day was going to cost..Some guy called anthony/tony apparently.
•Now insured with prestige...all mods new and old covered like for like and the price is still cheaper than my renewal! great service the whole way through too couldn't fault it!

I changed from a 2.0Turbo Volvo S60 to a Subaru Legacy Turbo, it went up, that's fair play, I then changed to a BMW 318i, that's going from a 200bhp turbocharged 4wd saloon with mods declared to a standard 318i with 117bhp and there was no change, the legacy is group 60 according to your lot and the BMW is group 38 according to the fella I spoke to, explain to me how this is fair?????

Your mistake is thinking it's fair. It's business.

Not all insurers can offer the best price for the same car. Hence there being lots to choose from. Just because insurance company A can do you a deal on one car doesn't mean they can on the next.

There's more variables at work than bhp and groups. More than I can be bothered to list. They got you a good price on one car, and not the other. Get over it, it's not personal.

oh I am not taking it personally just highlighting a massive issue, I have been with other insures in the past that when I changed my car they reduced my premiums in relation to the performance and type of car.

I wanted to highlight this to other people like myself that change car regularly that when you change car you may be surprised with the lack of or massive increase in insurance. IF you buy a car and stick with it then yeah you wont suffer this annoy problem.

its been highlighted in other threads, why are insurance companies so desperate to get new business rather than trying to keep the members they have happy, I know I am only one person but after my initial quote with the Volvo I was over the moon with the price but now its just a total joke but unfortinatly they have me over a barrel as I cant afford to leave and I need to keep the policy going to build NCB. WONT be re-newing.

As Ali says, it's far from just BHP etc.. When I changed from a Nordic GT to my auto SE, my insurance doubled! I freaked out and the sole reason behind the crazy increase was solely down to the P11 SE Auto being the most stolen model of Primera on the insurance database. Nothing to do with power. I ditched my insurer and found a better price, although it is still higher than a GT. We all agree that as consumers nowadays we vote with our feet lol.

Here is some more recent feedback –

·        Just want to say big thanx to prestige £200 cheaper than anywhere else plus much better cover.

·        Prestige were great though. I spoke to Moses and Jade who were both fantastic and explained everything with the policy and the modifications and what they needed from me, such as returned paperwork. All done for £319.95 fully comp with 350xs. All spot on and no complaints. All in all - Prestige great first impression.

·        I would like to add the guys over at Prestige were able to beat my previous quote, a company who also advertise on this forum, and were able to accommodate all my specific requirements to boot! Not many companies would touch a highly modified import with business insurance tagged on! The guy on the phone was very helpful and patient with me, he was able to answer all my questions right away and got back to me within a minute or so on the more tricky ones! I thoroughly recommend these guys to anybody who’s coming up to renewal time!

·        Firstly, the best quote and happy to insure in Central London. Secondly, I've been building up my NCB as since moving to the capital I had a break of about 5 years where I didn't have a car and lost my maximum discount as a result. I spoke to Chelsea and for a small additional premium of £50 she sorted a protected NCB on the 40% I currently have. Absolutely fantastic service as well, I have also called since with a query on my certificate and spoke to the administrator Dave who was equally as awesome and emailed me back within the hour to validate all that I had asked. I can only speak from experience but if this continues they'll be hard to beat.

what would your prices be like for someone whose getting another car, obviously as it would be a fresh policy NCB on it would be 0, but have max NCB on other cars owned, but insured with someone else?
