Hi, I have just recently bought a Nissan Primera P12 hatch which I had intended to have a towbar fitted to, have been advised NOT to fit a tow bar as they are prone to breaking. True/False

Hi and welcome to the forum, if the tow bar is correctly fitted you should not have a problem, the P12 electric are sensitive and errors do occur when the car thinks it is towing and gives a warning beep when indicating, however lots of people with P12s have tow bars with no issues

Hi William. Welcome to NPOC. Handshake
I have a proper Nissan towbar on my P12 Estate, which I fitted myself. I have pulled loads of up to 3 TONS, [ I know it's wrong] without a problem. Ouch
As Ash has said, if it's fitted correctly, then you will have no problem. Thumbs Up
