Hello everybody, this is my first post. I have 2002 Nissan Primera 1.8 (petrol) Wagon WP12, 80k (about 130000 km), manual transmission. I have trouble starting it without reving when engine is hot. Cold start is OK. My mechanic cleaned throttle chamber but said I should replace throttle chamber (I know that problem can be due to cam chain too). OEM part number of throttle chamber fitting my car is 16119AU000 and it can be substituted with 16119AU003 (and 16119AU00A, 16119AU00C too). Aftermarket replacement costs between 350 and 450 euros. But I find that 16119AU003 can be replaced with A6119AU00C. The last one is genuine Nissan product. And costs 75 bucks. So logic tells if 16119AU000 can be replaced with 16119AU003, and 16119AU003 can be replaced with A6119AU00C, than 16119AU000 can be replaced with A6119AU00C. So is it true? Is someone have any experience with that throttle chamber? I must say that I find very few data about that throttle chamber (A6119AU00C). I can only find on some russian web sites that is throttle chamber for Nissan Primera P12 1.8. Nothing else.

Welcome to NPOC,

Nissan4U Parts Catalogue agrees up to version B

http://nissan4u.com/parts/primera/el_p12e/2002_8/type_23/fuel_and_engine_control/throttle_chamber/" rel="nofollow - http://nissan4u.com/parts/primera/el_p12e/2002_8/type_23/fuel_and_engine_control/throttle_chamber/

When the design of a Nissan Part changes it is the last Number/Letter that increases.
Your Logic sounds correct to me and the Russian Sites seem to agree.

I am guessing by your User Name that you are in Eastern Europe?
Poland is pretty good for older Nissan Spares. Allegro.pl

Hi,try fitting earth strap, a thick earth cable from car body to starter motor, if one already fitted clean connections well
It's a possible cheap fix for poor / non starters. Sometimes throttle body fault is misdiagnosed, Get a quote for diagnostic check by Nissan main dealer if earth strap fails to fix your problem.Changing parts using hunches and guesswork can be very expensive, goodluck!
