Hi

A returning P10 owner here (returning to ownership, first time in the club)...   I owned a 1.6LX for a number of years.  Always reliable and nice to drive, I really came to appreciate that car.  As a guy who grew-up tinkering with 1970's Fords (Cortina's, Escorts etc) the Primera always felt like what the Sierra should have either been or evolved into, rather than the ghastly Mondeo turn that Ford decided to take.  My previous Primera took it's final journey five years ago and a hotted-up first-generation Saab 9-3 took it's place in the interim.

Now I find myself with a 2 litre SLX P10 5-door.  Clean and low mileage, with full service history and pretty much stock. I'm hoping it will last me a few years.  I'm using it as a runaround, not as a 'cl*ss*c', so I'm not sure how that will be considered by the community

I notice that things have changed somewhat since I last owned a Primera - back then parts were everywhere and it was quite easy to find them in scrap yards and get bits on Ebay or from the stealership.  Now finding some bits for it appears to becoming somewhat problematic - we will see

Anyway, it's good to be back!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately yes, as the cars get older, finding parts for them is harder, but can still be found..

Hi there and a big welcome to the club :)

Nice to see you're gonna keep a P10 on the roads and active!

Enjoy the forums and take care,

Welcome! They're certainly harder to find these days so well done for finding something clean and low mileage!

I think even just a few years back people would have the luxury of waiting for their favourite colour to pop up for sale, those days are gone!
