Hi and thanks in advance if anyone can solve this riddle for me....

I have a 2006 1.8 sx  with cloth mechanical unheated seats, but got myself a bargain full leather heated interior.Fitting the seats and wiring up the adjusters isnt gonna pose me any problems, but the wiring for the heated seat switches, without a couple of tips, could be.

In the wiring diagrams for the switches the terminals are numbered 1-6.However,on the actual switches, the terminals are identified 1A,2A,3A,1B,2B,3B,which doesnt correspond with the manuals' diagram, and,as I dont have the plugs that plug into the switches,I cant follow the colour-codes.

Anyone out there that can help me out with this one?

Graham.

Hi Graham. Have you downloaded the free service manual from here as that may help you out. Thumbs Up

3 Operational Connections

Ignition 12V Supply
Out Low
Out High
They should be easy to identify with a Multimeter.

Assuming
Terminal 1A is the 12V Supply
Terminal 2A is Low Out
Terminal 3A is High Out

Switch to Low. Continuity from 1A to 2A
Switch to High. Continuity from 1A to 3A
Check there is no Continuity from 2A to 3A with the Switch in all 3 positions

The other 3 Connections are then pretty easy to identify

1 Ground for the Indicator Light that shows you the Heated Seats are on.
With the 12V Supply connected and the Switch set to High or Low apply ground to the 3 remaining Terminals one at a time will indicate which is the Indicator Light Ground Terminal.

The remaining 2 are Illumination when your headlights are on.
Lights on 12V to one Terminal. Ground to the other. Doesn't matter which way round you wire them.
