2.5 inch bore exhaust is a little to big dude.

What does the car tick over at? Does the car start ok from cold?

Check your MAF, TPS, idle control valve, temp sensor.

Mark, I've moved your thread from yesterday into your exisiting and relevant thread (this one). Please don't start a new thread on the same subject and issues etc.
 
Only advice I'll give is, don't mod anything until it's all running spot on.

may engine now runs fine the problem was a bad spark plug choice newer prefer champion spark plugs 3of 4 was defected

right ive changed the maf, leads,dissy cap, coil, it started to runn ok on sunday night then back to running rubbish, no ecu lights on, spark plugs look good(according to mechanic friend)  , this is beginning to bug me as no doubt it will end up bein something so small!!!
 
anymore help will be greatly appriciated

and a bad spark plug can not be understood by only eye inspection

wen u say oxygen sensor do u mean lamda??? also where do i find knock sensor and tps?? as i have my old complete engine with all sensors which i can pinch.......

oxygen sensor "lambda" is on the front side of the engine where the manifold meets the engine and the knock sensor is at the back side of the engine under the intake manifold and it is a hell of a job to change it but you must be careful not to drop the new one because it is very sensitive

The 02 sensor on his P10 is actually on the downpipe before the cat.
 
On a P11 it's on the manifold by the engineWink
 
Agreed on the knock sensor though.. Absolute shitter of a task!
