Nissan Primera P12 had a whining noise with power steering leak. Had replaced the rack and pinion, and power steering pump. It was a challenge moving our the rack and I had to move the air intake and vacuum pump out the way.
After putting everything back together I realized the car sounds noisy and seems to have a high idle. Can anyone tell me what could be the cause of my car idling high? The steering pump i bought also has an extra groove but the serpentine belt still fits ok

Welcome to NPOC,

If you have had the intake off, you may need to do the Idle Learn
Warm the Car up, turn all loads off and some Gas Pedal presses

It is covered in the Workshop Manual. Have a look in the Index for Idle

The Manual is for European Primeras
It may not work if yours is Japanese - I think we have had others from the Caribbean with Jap Imports.
