I'd like to know where the ambient air temperature sensor is mounted on a P11. It seems that I only have a connector hanging where it is supposed to be. The are two wires on the connector and they are colored red/blue and red.

Look at left side of steering wheel. On the plastic facia there is a small vent/ grill (in line with the stereo) thats for the internal cabin temp sensor for the climate control in the 144. Sure it should be the same for yours.

I think the OP means the outdoor temperature sensor.

Yes I do, thanks for correcting me. There is one sensor looking element mounted just under the hood lock, which has a brown connector. I believe it has something to do with the ac, If I understood the FSM correctly. What I didn't mention before was that the loose hanging connector is a small gray one.

Here's a pic of the loose connector, hope you get what I mean.
I also have another question. Has the hood switch (located behind the air cleaner) got anything to do with anti theft system, or is it just supposed to illuminate the open door light? I've never seen one on a finnish Primera and my spanish import car hasn't got it also, only a loose connector. |

Holy thread revival, but this is exactly the issue I'm having! Trying to find a picture of the sensor, I must have put it somewhere (Though I can't see why I would have removed it from t's home in the first place)
I have 4 wires in that area, 2 connected to the horns, a brown connector connected to the brown sensor, and this grey connector, with clean areas to show it was connected, but I cannot for the life of me see the old sensor, or currently find a decent picture of one! I'm certain I will have 2 of the buggers somewhere in these boxes! |
