Guys, I really need your help. I am totally lost...

Please, help as my car is sitting in the garage and I can't drive it till I remove the stupid EGR as it can not fit to the SSAC headers I bought a while ago.

My car is '93 P10 Primera Lowport 10:1 SR20DE. It has this stupid EGR which I think is causing the idle problems I also experience.
I know how to remove the pipe. I know about the block off kit and I already have it. But I don't know anything about the hoses and the BPT, solenoid valve....

I am attaching some pictures in order if someone recognizes his engine and he had been through the EGR removal process.
I'd rather take the whole stuff out but if there is no way to do that I will keep some of the parts inside. But than I will need to find out to reroute the vacuum lines and etc.

Please, if anyone could help. I guess I really sound desperate...

When I removed my EGR on my old eGT I left all the carbon cannister stuff in place.

All I removed was the gold coloured steel pipe and blanked off both ends.
RIP 10, hello Connect! :(

If you disconnect the vac pipe between the EGR valve and BPT and plug it then the EGR valve won't open.

I got it from ebay. A friend of mine advised me of it and he said it is a great one as he already installed it on his N15 GTI. Plus the seller seemed to be a very nice guy as he is.
The thing is the header don't have a hole for the EGR only for P10 eGT Confused
The pictures below are showing my SSAC with/without thermo wrap (this thermo wrap was a pain in the ***)

Maybe you are right, I should keep the carbon cannister. I will look for a way to remove it as well as it makes no sense keeping it when EGR is out. For right now, I will probably keep it

I found these on other forums. A guy removed the EGR and the BPT valve and he had two hoses to worry about. He simply tapped them Shocked He kept the carbon canister as well. I think I will try make it his way..

Things look a bit better at this time Confused But still I am not that confident..

Guys, I figured out almost everything. I wrote a How to thread in our forum but only as it is up to the EGR & BPT.

I still don't know should I remove the Carbon Canister or keep it. Most people advise of getting rid of it. But I don't know what should I do with the hose coming out from the fuel tank and ending in the CC. Some people say it could be plugged, other advise to keep it unplugged upright but there might be a smell of unburned gas fumes under the bonnet and the cabin..

Has anyone went so far - to remove the CC? If yes, please advise of how to reroute/plug the vacuum hoses. It is only a matter of some more efforts to figure that out too.

Thanks and regards,
Martin

We've all advised on what we did etc...  None of us removed the CC, just blanked of the actual EGR pipe. No reported problemsSmile
