Hi there new to the club. I have a Nissan Primera 2ltr auto 2002 registration. Been told I need to have my immobiliser reset. Anyone got ideas. Thanks in advance

Hello
I called out my breakdown service and the mechanic said it was the immobiliser. He he led the ignition, disconnected the battery and said I would probably have to take dealer. Wondering if there is anyway I can get this fixed as I hear this will be very expensive. Thanks for responding Lorraine |

Just seen typo he checked the ignition to make sure nothing was disconnected.

The immobiliser, the red light that should always blink on and off when the ignition is switched off should stop blinking and go out if you turn the key to on without starting the engine... does that happen ?

Hi
I don't have a picture but I have a Nissan Primera SVE CVT Date of reg 06/02 2 litre auto petrol. Hope that helps. I unlock the door and put the key in the ignition and the lights on the dashboard come on - including the red car with the key in it. It then flashes, stops flashing but keeps on. The sat nav panel lights up and says please wait then says secure. ?? Regards Lorraine |
