Hi,

I have found 2 type of central silencer for the primera one being for a GT(DN453Q) the other for the STD 2.0(DN451V)

i was just wondering if there is any difference between these???

When i have gone to order one a parts supplier is trying to send me the (DN451V) when i gave them my reg and car details.

Yes there is a difference - take a look at this page:

You will see that the GT has 2 bullet type silencer in the centre pipe and the normal 2.0 has a bullet type and a spun type cylindrical silencer.
The GT has a different code of backbox too.

The one in the above picture would probably sound a bit quieter than the other sort due to the larger first silencer, but I suppose it all depends on what backbox is fitted already and the centre section that is already on the car.

the center pipe i got was the same as the one ant-dat posted. got it for 43quid in the end.

was marked as dn453q which is the same item number as the center pipe where the diagram shows a smaller silencer.

either way it fits.... it was cheap.... and the car is quiet again :)

Mate, where did you get it from? I could do with replacing mine too.
