Hi everyone, Just joined.

I'm looking at getting a p12 SE or SVE diesel on a 01 to 53 plate depending on the purse strings.

Will post when successful with pics.

Welcome Neil.   I'd recommend going for a DCi engined car, but if you do, check the fuel pump is ok, as it is a weak spot.   The other diesel engine (in 2001-2002 cars), is the 2.2TD Di engine (older type), which I have in my car.    These are ok, and very economical, but if you get one, try to make sure it's the 126hp version.  Mine is the 112hp version and it's really underpowered in stock form. (My is now remapped to 148hp).

Cheers, show us some photos when you get one!

David

Welcome mate, this forum has been my saviour.i dunno where id b without it.well iv got a 1.8 petrol 05 at 140,000 miles.guess how many miles one year and half ago when i bought Priscilla primera;78,000.im a taxi!and shes give me no problems at all.new clutch n discs all round at 100,000 and 2 belts and thats it,tyres, pads, etc.my mates diesals have had electrical problems and one had to have a new engine.our cars are driven 24/7 day n night.they r lucky to get a 30 min rest eva.and reading this forum has helped me do a simple earth fix after i took my car to the stealer for a simple power steering belt change and it came back with the fog flashing when i braked a minute after they gave my car back?co incidence?these types of forums are great,as important as insurance when u buy a car imo.
