Hello

Just got my first Nissan, which happens to be a Primera 1.8s. So far very pleased with it. Is nice and spacious and although a 2004 model that has covered 84000 miles seems in very good condition and only cost £900.

I hope I have a couple of years trouble free motoring with it.

Cheers

Was it yourself who had the abs  problem and did you get it sorted out ?
If in doubt give it a clout!

Hello

Yes indeed, it was me with the ABS problem. The dealer I bought it from (Deals from his home address from last 30 years) has taken it back to see if he can rectify the problem.

Thanks for asking and I will keep you updated.

Had to get the Aircon recharged, what a difference. I am about to take it in to my own Mechanic who will give it a look over and see if there is anything needing done.

Cheers

I'm sure it will be sorted for you , they are nice cars just takes a wee bit getting used to the centre dials
Thumbs Up

Yes, centre dials, DOH I know, getting there. Only thing I would like was alloys instead of steel but its the S trim, so would need to get a set. If I like this car I might upgrade next year to a higher spec.

is there a 2.0 litre petrol or would I be better thinking of the Diesel?

Mark

There is a 2.0 litre , don't know that there is any great advantage with diesel given the price of fuel , also there have been a few instances of turbo's going which are a tad expensive.

I've got the 1.8 SVE and don't use half of what is there,.
It has the Xenon headlamps and I've just had to replace the washer pump for the MOT ( £56 ).
The rear colour camera is very usefull though.
If in doubt give it a clout!

With an older car you cannot bank on  trouble-free motoring, BUT you can save yourself a packet if you can turn your hand to maintenance and a few repairs.

I have undertaken 120 jobs on my car. Having said that I have had my car for 8 years now and it has not been to a garage except for MOT and has only been off the road once (for a month - I rode a pushbike) when I repaired kingpin and other suspension components which I had a few problems with.
