Hi,
I have Nissan Primera 1,8 2005 Nissan does not start anymore after shutting down, but wait 15 minutes and after that car will start as it did not have any problem but as soon as the car turns off repeating this same car will not start. When this problem occurred also stopped working all other windows except the driver's window. When i try to lock doors sometimes passenger door wont lock and there is some strange noise behind steering wheel when i try to lock doors Sorry for my bad english:) Best regards Jermu from Finland |

The solution changed the rear light bulbs and I did additional grounding. Now the car runs like a dream

Out Of interest, which wires was it that you re-grounded?
As I am having starting Issues myself, and but I believe my wiring issue is in the front, however if that doesn't work this would be an option for me to follow. |

Ground wires for the rear lights, involves adding an extra wire.
Detailed in the " How to " section. |
|
If in doubt give it a clout!

Hello, not sure if this is the same type of fault, I have a P12 2006 model, have just done the rear earth wire fix after suffering all the usual with loss of power etc. This appears to have fixed the accelaration issues, however, I also have been suffering a problem with the car not starting, it will start straight away some times and run fine, but then other times when i turn the key it tries to run but stops as if there is no fuel getting through, after a few tries it then starts normally, this is now getting more regular, and taking longer to start, and happened again last night, after 20 minutes of trying it started then just cut out 1/2 mile down the road, I called the AA and after checking they could only find a lean fuel mixture, however, when the AA arrived and turned the key the car started good as gold.
This morning I have gone to the car and it wont start again, just runs for a couple of seconds then cuts out. I have replaced the Mass airflow sensor a few weeks ago as was sugested by a local Nissan mechanic but no joy. The AA mechanic suggested it could be the fuel pump relay but could not find it, and his mate suggested the timing chain with a price tag of £1000+, which is beyond what the car is worth. Has any one else suffered this and has anyone got a solution please.
