sve p12 display goes mad when cold.problem appears to be linked to movement of wheel.any ideas ?

Do you mean stuff like:

* it swaps between different screens without you telling it to
* reversing camera goes off when it shouldn't
* radio volume goes up and down when it shouldn't
* such behaviour is worse in the rain and when steering a lot to park?

Hi and welcome to the forum, it sounds like the wiring loom in the Steering column, the part is only available from Nissan

Mine does it too. 

Sometimes, when it starts messing about I press the phone button on the wheel then it behaves. 

Also, turning the wheel slowly while parking minimises such issues.

Usually when that part fails, it will mess predominantly mess around with your tuned in radio stations and or volume. As Ash mentions above, Nissan are aware of that problem (or were) and released a standalone wiring loom replacement to rectify.

Some good details in this one:


It contains the Nissan (Internal) Technical Bulletin release number etc. Give that to any Nissan dealer and they should be able to get heading in the right direction :)
