Thanks for the pictures.
On my car (that has a xenon bulb) there's no black box. Instead, there's a silver igniter module that's about the same size, shape, and in the same position. To remove my igniter, I simply twist it then pull backward. I can then access the electrical connector on its side. Whereas I can't be sure without seeing your car in person, I therefore suspect your black box can be removed in a similar manner. However - from what I can see in the pictures - it doesn't look like you have to then separately remove an electrical connector. Perhaps someone with the same type of bulb can confirm/say otherwise.
