Hi All.

Very good work being done here. I have a  Nissan Primera 2003 reg. In the last month, I have noticed a strong smell of petrol inside the car cabin. I have done the following and it has not helped.

  • Replaced the pollen filter.
  • Injector cleaner applied.

I am at loss as to what to do next, I placed a cloth underneath the car last weekend and parked it to see if there is a leak coming from underneath, I didn't smell anything on the cloth, I cant see any stains on the drive, I know petrol evaporates quickly.

One thing I also did was to close all the air vents yesterday, didnt make any difference.
I also washed underneath the car bonnet last weekend, didnt make any difference.

Take the back seat out Ray and start from there, Thumbs Up  the tank/pump etc is under there. It sounds like you have a leak somewhere. Ouch  If you can get the car up in the air a foot or so, you can turn the ignition on without starting the engine and that will pressurize the system, Have a look along the fuel line, you may be able to find it then.
